  Definitely worth going up, you will most likely get wet by the spray of the fall and drops coming from the cliffs. Hike itself is moderately difficult and just the slightest bit technically challenging in certain areas. The hike takes anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours.

  No wonder this is the most popular hike! There are photo ops every step of the way! Was there during the autumn so the steps leading to the top of the fall were dry. You are climbing in elevation the whole way, so it can be moderately strenuous. Bring enough water because there aren't refill stations along the way. When you get to the top of the falls, the easy way down is to actually climb further up to Clark Point (the view is amazing!) then taking the John Muir Trail back down. We saw a bobcat on our descent early in the morning!
